Additional Notes:
Sam Hall erupted onto the art scene in 2004 with a series of landscapes, 'people-scapes', and abstracts. He paints in acrylics and watercolour, and describes himself as a 'colourist'. Inspired particularly by Caneletto , Andrew Wyeth, Paul Klee and David Hockney, he has been painting for only two years but appreciation of his attention to detail has already led to his works being submitted to the Royal Academy of Arts, the Brighton Arts Fair and several competitions. His works are already selling for more than $5000. ABOUT THIS PAINTING: This is the view from my studio window. I painted it with multiple perspectives and a high horizon because I wanted a prominent foreground which would lead the eye around the picture and make the viewer conscious of the vegetation and foliage right down to his or her feet, and see that which so often escapes our attention as we pass blindly by, unobserving. Thus the view actually covers about 180 degrees and could not be photographed in the way it is
