Sam Hall Sam Hall erupted onto the art scene in 2004 with a series of landscapes, 'people-scapes', and abstracts. He paints in acrylics and watercolour, and describes himself as a 'colourist'. Inspired particularly by Caneletto , Andrew Wyeth, Paul Klee and David Hockney, he has been painting for only two years but appreciation of his attention to detail has already led to his works being submitted to the Royal Academy of Arts, the Brighton Arts Fair and several competitions. His works are already selling for more than $5000. ABOUT THIS PAINTING: When I was nine years old, I passed a voice test to sing in Westminster Abbey choir, and stayed there until I was twelve. I sang at Queen Elizabeth II's wedding and many other great state occasions - all of which has a lasting impact on my sense of history. Between lessons at Westminster Abbey Choir School, we would play football in Dean's yard - in those days, of course, conscious only of the ball and scoring a goal. In later years, though
