The artist works in a unique pointillism style somewhat like Australian Aborigine. This is a colorful dragon done with multitudes of tiny dots of color. Edges are painted - no framing is required. Carol has signed her paintings as "Fincher-Young", "Carol Young", "Carol F. Young", "Carol Fincher Young", "B.C. Fincher", "B.C. Young", "C. Young", "C. Fincher". (B.C.Fincher is her original family name). She works primarily in acrylics, with a keen eye for color and shape and motion. An infinite and unexpected patience with tiny details is a hallmark of her work. Yet other pieces are wild splashes of color. Carol has an extensive background in design. She has conceived, designed and produced artwork for hotels and restaurants, offices and homes. She also did extensive frame design for high-end art galleries, a pleasurable offshoot of a business once owned.
