This piece of work is extraordinarly rich in color, light, texture and movement. Typical of his style, almost scupture as apposed to painting, Kunst heaps paint on top of paint in order to achieve extremely vibrant colors along with flowing movement and living textures. Also typical of his work is the noteworthy lack of the use of the color black; instead he employs a wide pallet of colors, mixing them freely, to carve out stunning contrasts. To quote the Artist; "Black implies the complete lack of color and light, something I do not believe exsist in the natural world."
Kunst is relatively new to impressionistic painting. Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, he attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. From there he went on to painting Portraits and works of Surrealism and Murals, exhibiting sporaticaly in California, Nevada, Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, and the Carolinas.
