A magnificent original oil on Panel Painting by John Bageris. Shows several objects surrounded by a yellow cloth. It has rich color and deep lines. The work is very unique and intense. The frame is a new contemporary style wood that has beautiful decorative accents. The frame brings out the color in the work and adds a richness to the piece. The size is 23 1/2"x 29 1/2". John Bageris was born in Fremont, Ohio in 1924 and spent most of his childhood in Greece. He received his B.F.A and subsequently his M.F.A from the Art Institute of Chicago. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with Boris Anisfeld. Bageris then moved to New York City where he developed as a New York School Abstract Expressionist. In 1953 he was awarded a Fulbright traveling Fellowship during that time he studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Munich, Germany.
