EMEREM WAVES COLOUR IN AMERICA Mbonu Christopher Emerem’s works are as strange as they are compellingly evocative; a wave of colour patches on oil and water colours portraying universal themes of life; philosophy, politics, economy and culture. Looking at his records, one could not but be intrigued by his rich endowment of aesthetics and creative imagination. He is a 1983 Economics graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He neither passed through any school of art nor did he ever attach himself to any mastercraft man as many informally trained artists do. Christopher’s only contract with arts in school was in his native primary school in Ekwe in Isu Local Government, Imo State. This experience ended in primary four.
